BCP Capital is a sustainability focused real estate investment and asset manager.

We invest in under-managed property in supply constrained urban markets and add value via innovation in sustainable design.

WHAT WE DO

We combine a rigorous value investment process with creative and progressive asset management strategies.

We are a young but experienced team with diverse educational and professional backgrounds, which results in a holistic, mindful, and technical approach.

We are proactive and take the lead throughout the full investment process; from acquisition, financing, development & asset management to disposal.

We are environmentally orientated and are actively pursuing the use of sustainable technologies in construction and energy performance.

We are socially responsible, and believe positive engagement in the communities in which we operate is vital to ensure public trust.

SUSTAINABILITY

Less Talking. More Doing

We are motivated by a utopian vision of the future city, and are leading the charge towards a greener future by actively pushing the boundaries of current design and building methods.

  • Mass Timber

The embodied carbon of steel & concrete accounts for nearly 15% of global CO2 emissions whereas timber is a carbon sink. Mass timber is a new category of wood product comprised of multiple solid wood panels nailed or glued together, which provide exceptional strength and stability. Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) can be used to replace steel & concrete in above ground structures and in addition to less pollution, results in reduced time and less noise on site.

BCP is currently designing what will be the first CLT office building in Ireland.

  • Passivhaus Design

Passivhaus is the most energy efficient construction standard in the world, typically achieving 80-90% energy savings on a standard build for heating & cooling. In addition, PassivHaus buildings have a near-perfect indoor climate of regulated fresh air and relative humidity with the added advantage that the supply air is filtered – great for those with asthma or hayfever, and even more important in a post-Covid world.

BCP is currently designing what will be the first Passivhaus office building in Ireland.

  • Modular Construction

Modular construction benefits are widely accepted: less waste, cleaner, safer, better build quality with fine tolerances and overall greater cost control. Importantly, with modular “kit of parts” construction, you can measure the precise carbon footprint of a building.

BCP is building the first fully modular commercial building in Ireland in partnership with CitizenM Hotels.

  • Retrofitting

By retrofitting existing buildings and reusing structures we can save large amounts of embodied carbon. Construction amounts for the majority of the built environments 40% share of carbon emissions worldwide.
